New Study Group

Living Deeply: The Art and Science of Transformation in Everyday Life

Using the book, Living Deeply and the accompanying DVDs, we will explore together what it means to "live deeply." This research from the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) will form the basis of our dialogue, as well as guide us to better understand what it takes to make the positive and lasting changes required to lead deeper, more conscious lives. People can share their own spiritual practices, as well as look at those from different traditions that can be practically applied to peace processes across cultures, between countries, and within each person.

DATES: First Thursday of the month, Starting October 2, 2008

FOCUSED INTENTION
An Ongoing Group
"Using your thoughts to change your life and the world".

This group helps you improve your powers of concentration, dissolve any doubts or fears, hone a clear intention that can then guide and transform your life.

We will have an opportunity to be part of author, (The Intention Experiment) Lynne McTaggart's new Peace Intention Experiment.

The Global Peace Intention Experiment: A Live Aid of scientific experiments will test the power of group mind to lower violence around the world - If all of us send a good thought for peace can it actually work to restore peace in a war-torn area?

People may also share and discuss an individual intention-personal, work-related, issue-related - then examine and clarify the motivations that underlie the presenting need and, if appropriate, ask for group support. Then the group devotes time for each person to practice focusing on their specific intention into the circle.
